New Trailer - The Little Prince

It doesn't even have a release date yet, but it's cast list looks like this:
Rachel McAdams
Jeff Bridges
Marion Cotillard
James Franco
Paul Rudd
Paul Giamatti
Ricky Gervais
Benicio Del Toro

And it's an adaptation of the novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry -- which I have never read, but if people say it's a masterpiece, I believe them. The trailer certainly does have the feel of something very special. I am also very interested by the mixed animating styles of the typical computer animation and the stop-motion. Both the styles look very beautiful.

I know next to nothing about this, but I want to see it already. Watch the trailer below! What do you think? Have you read the book? Are you interested in this adaptation?

  1. There's a lot of stuff in that trailer I don't remember from the book, I guess they're telling the story from the added character of the little girl, which is cool. I love the animation and how the Little Prince himself looks exactly as he does in the book's illustration's (which are half the book). This looks like it could be really cool, and the use of the two different animation styles is a neat idea and looks great. I hope it's good. :D

By the way, where do you hear about movies like these? I mean, do you search around YouTube for new movie trailers every once in a while, or is there some website you read or something?

One more by-the-way, ;) did you add the tagline on your header recently or has it always been there? I don't remember seeing it before (but then I randomly don't notice things sometimes), but it looks really nice. :)

    1. Yeah that makes sense. I guess it might be too short if they didn't expand it a little? That's cool that they made him look exactly the same. I guess I should read this book at some point now! I think so too, and hope so too! :D

My two main sources are Rotten Tomatoes and Facebook, actually. This one I happened across on Facebook. :P

Haha, no it's always been there, but thanks! :) I do that too sometimes too, and than when I finally do notice it I figure it must have just had a perception filter on it. ;D

  2. Western animated films usually disappoint me. However, I am interested by the high caliber cast, so maybe this will be one of the rare ones that deliver the goods.

    1. There are a lot that are less than good out there, but I am really thinking and hoping this one will turn out to be a unique and good one!
