I certainly don't reject R movies just because of their rating, but once it seems like the R is there just to be R and not to actually add to the movie it bothers me a lot -- and I can only see profanity detracting from this movie, not adding to it.

I've begun to doubt I will be either. They are few and far between, but they are out there!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08901639281043602191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076471470585210140.post-5775027051270238912015-08-07T02:42:24.929-04:002015-08-07T02:42:24.929-04:00Thanks for posting this trailer. I am very glad yo...Thanks for posting this trailer. I am very glad you have principals and a moral code when it comes to film. There is a shortage of it these days. I agree that Deadpool could be funny and neat with just an R for violence and not profanity. Profanity IS uncreative and repellent to me. There are some R rated films that I like like "The Patriot.
Anyway. I don't think I will be watching Deadpool. But I will keep looking out for R rated films that are still tastefull entertainment. One must hope.isaacbenjaminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00473497879119919285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076471470585210140.post-75184485431691112472015-08-06T15:18:44.910-04:002015-08-06T15:18:44.910-04:00Oops. And see, that wouldn't have happened nor...Oops. And see, that wouldn't have happened normally, but with this movie the red band trailer is pushed so hard that it's the easiest to find! I actually had to search for "green band" trailer to find this one.

It is totally excessive! I looked it up, and it's actually not even within Deadpool's character to be profane. I know he's supposed to be talkative and have a sharp tongue, but that doesn't mean he needs to have a potty mouth. Swearing is so uncreative! He doesn't in the comics.

Also, in the comics he's self aware, and knows he's a comic book character, and he breaks the fourth wall all the time and talks to the audience -- but they don't appear to be using those things, which I think would be awesome if they did. So the more I think about it the more I'm thinking that they're not even doing it to stay true to his character at all. They're just doing cause they want to. Which is a terrible idea.

The only way they could justify an R is for violence, cause of the unkillableness, and the dark comedy. But it seems like it'll be for EVERYTHING else too. I'm getting very annoyed at this.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08901639281043602191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076471470585210140.post-34880460274182478732015-08-05T21:26:47.260-04:002015-08-05T21:26:47.260-04:00I definitely watched the red band trailer on accid...I definitely watched the red band trailer on accident. (long story.)
and my mom watched it with me. She was really angry at the end of it, to put it lightly.
I was also pretty taken aback by the vulgarity and totally unnecessary jokes/comments. Like, I get that they're trying to stay true to Deadpools character, but all this cussing by other people in the film and just...everything seems a bit...excessive. idk. Very mixed emotions right nowFaithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06886707992876613899noreply@blogger.com
